Economic Development Commission of Seattle & King County

Founded in 1971, the Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County (EDC) is a public-private economic development partnership encompassing King County and its 39 cities. Formerly known as enterpriseSeattle, we provide one-on-one, confidential consulting services, free-of-charge, to individual businesses seeking to establish, expand or relocate to Seattle and King County.

Our mission is to expand and diversify the economy throughout King County by retaining and recruiting jobs, promoting global competitiveness, and growing strong and sustainable industry clusters. Our objective is to become the premier economic development organization in the US through a customized sector-based client services program focused on business retention, expansion, and recruitment.

King County is unlike any other region in the world, bringing together visionary leaders across industries in a culture that nurtures and supports new thinking and bold ideas. At the EDC, we are passionate about this region and helping businesses make the most of the opportunities that it holds.
