Independent Designer Workshop Series at Vian Hunter

Local Fashion Reality TV Contestant and Madison Valley boutique owner Lisa Hunter to offer How To workshops for aspiring Seattle area fashion designers.

Seattle Fashion Incubator is here for you.

Designer Workshop #1 is the first in a series of How-To workshops to be held at Vian Hunter House of Fashion located at 2814 East Madison Street in Seattle on March 29, 2014 from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Workshop focuses on learning and practicing real-world critical business aspects of a fashion business. No prior fashion design education experience is required for this first workshop in the series, though your take-away learning and skill development will be greatly enhanced if you bring with you a fashion idea you are currently thinking about.

At the end of Designer Workshop #1, participants will be able to:

  • Calculate cost of goods sold (COGS) and determine retail and wholesale pricing
  • Develop a 24-month Activity Calendar, starting from their design concept to product shipping
  • Create a Line Sheet, including sketches/photos, fabric swatches/colors, suggested retail price and ship dates
