Next 50 Commerce and Innovation Month Launch Event

On September 6, 2012 while the rest of the fashion industry celebrated Fashion’s Night Out Seattle Fashion Incubator was representing the industry at Seattle Center’s Next 50 launch event for Commerce and Innovation month at the Intiman Theater. After being connected with the event organizer from the Office of Mayor Mike McGinn we were asked to bring local businesses that represented innovation in the fashion and apparel cluster in Seattle to the event.
Commerce and Innovation Month Launch of StartUp Washington

We were very proud to showcase Rethink Fabrics, SWAGGA Suits, Motovista, and Built For Man at the event which also served as a launch party for StartUp Washington. Below is a letter our founder received from the Co-Chair of StartUp Washington about our participation in the event. We look forward to continuing to work with StartUp Washington to empower entrepreneurs in fashion and apparel industry cluster in the Puget Sound.

Dear Steven,

On behalf of Startup Washington, the Next 50 and Northwest Entrepreneurs Network, I want to thank you for your support of our recent event.

As you may already know on September 6th, at the Intiman Theater, we had a remarkable turnout with over 300 people in attendance, including WA Secretary of Commerce Rogers Weed, Mayor Mike McGinn and Startup America National Co-Founder Pam Contag. A very diverse group of Washington State’s innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders gathered from every imaginable sector.

Having the Pop-Up Fashion show  truly made a difference in supporting our efforts to showcase the entrepreneurial innovation in Washington State, the launching of Startup Washington and the celebration of Innovation Month.

As entrepreneurs in Washington, we want to acknowledge your contributions to the ecosystem and how you lead by example, encouraging others to innovate and thrive throughout our state.  Thank you for your support!

If there is anything else Startup Washington or Brilliance Enterprises can do to help the Seattle Fashion Incubator please let us know!  Lindsay and I have taught the entrepreneurship classes at Seattle University in the past and have had students from the Fine Arts program who could use incubation for their ideas.   I personally would love to meet with you and find out more about SFI.

Thank you again!
